Why BMW body work requires specialized knowledge

BMW bodies mix aluminum and high-strength steel — particularly in newer 5-Series, 7-Series, and i-Series electric models. The mixed-metal construction requires specific welding techniques and bonding protocols.

BMW paint codes include Frozen (matte) and Individual (custom-order) finishes that require spectrophotometer matching and test sprays. Color matching for BMW is harder than mainstream brands — we have the equipment and experience.

OEM vs aftermarket for BMW

We push for BMW OEM parts on safety, sensors, and aluminum body panels. Genuine BMW Group parts preserve warranty and fit. OEM-equivalent aftermarket may be appropriate for non-safety cosmetic parts.

Frequently asked questions about BMW body shop work

Do you work on BMW M-Series performance cars?

Yes — M3, M4, M5, M8, X3 M, X5 M, X6 M, and others. Same factory-spec repair process with attention to aluminum-intensive M chassis.

Can you match BMW Individual / Frozen colors?

Yes — spectrophotometer match and test spray on every Individual or Frozen job. Often takes 2–3 test sprays to nail the exact tint.

Do you do BMW i-Series EV bodywork?

Yes — i3, i4, iX, i7 with aluminum-specific welding, high-voltage isolation, and ADAS recalibration.

Will BMW dealer warranty be affected by collision repair?

Collision repair using OEM BMW parts and factory procedures preserves your warranty on unrelated components. Warranty doesn't cover collision damage.

Minor 1–2 weeks. Mid-sized 2–4 weeks. Major structural 4–6 weeks.
